This Week’s Weather on the Forgotten Coast
It’s looking like another warm stretch on the Forgotten Coast, with highs starting in the low 90s early in the week and gradually easing into the mid-to-upper 80s by the weekend. Overnight lows will stay in the mid-to-upper 70s.
Rain chances begin relatively low (around 35%) on Monday and Tuesday, then climb into the 50–60% range from Thursday through the weekend, with scattered afternoon thunderstorms the most likely pattern. As always, the heaviest activity tends to develop later in the day.
Good days for outdoor plans early in the week; keep an eye on the sky and have a backup if you’re out on the water later in the week.

Here are a few bright spots making us smile this week on the Forgotten Coast:
🎣 Kingfish Shootout Raises $150,000 for Leukemia Research The 23rd annual Kingfish Shootout in Carrabelle raised an impressive $150,000 for the Leukemia Research Foundation. This Week Along the Forgotten Coast
Late July carries a different kind of heat on the Forgotten Coast.
The mornings still start soft, but by midday the sun sits high and the air turns thick and slow. Afternoon clouds often gather and then drift off without much rain, leaving the water glassy and the docks quiet. It’s the stretch of summer when people move a little more deliberately — early errands, long lunches in the shade, and evenings that stretch out without urgency.
You can feel the season holding steady here. The marshes stay full and green, the boats come and go on their own schedule, and the evenings still offer that easy, open sky. Nothing is rushing toward fall just yet.
This is a good week to notice the small, ordinary comforts of being on the coast in high summer — the kind that don’t need much announcing.
Enjoy the beauty around us and have a blessed week...
