Last Saturday, April 18, 2026, the 9th Annual St. George Island Brewfest turned a sunny beach day into something even better — a genuine community celebration for the Forgotten Coast.
Held at Lighthouse Park on St. George Island, the one-day craft beer festival brought together locals, visitors, and breweries for an afternoon of great pours, live music, and sunshine. All proceeds benefit the Franklin County Humane Society, and the event once again showed why this gathering has become a beloved tradition.
This year, Deep Brewery from Tallahassee took home both Best Brewery and Best Beer honors (their “Blimey” Blueberry Lime Sour was the crowd favorite). The online voting had the highest turnout in the festival’s nine-year history, which tells you just how much people were into it. Even better, the Humane Society had adoptable dogs on-site, and several found their forever homes right there on the beach.
It was the kind of day that feels like the best version of our coast — good people, good beer, and a shared purpose that quietly makes things better for the animals we all care about.
