20 minutes up the coast and completely free: Carrabelle’s Riverfront Festival is happening Saturday, April 25.
Music, classic cars, food, arts & crafts, and that unmistakable Old Florida vibe — here’s why it’s worth the short drive.
Every time I pull into Carrabelle, I’m reminded how this little waterfront town still feels like the Forgotten Coast we all fell in love with. Next Saturday, April 25, the whole historic harbor comes alive for the annual Carrabelle Riverfront Festival — a full day of family-friendly fun that the Carrabelle Chamber of Commerce has been putting on for years on the 4th Saturday in April.
From 10 am to 6 pm, Marine Street and the riverfront turn into one big, laid-back celebration: live music, a classic car show, unique entertainment, colorful arts & crafts vendors, and plenty of delicious food trucks and local eats. It’s completely free, pet-friendly, and open to everyone — no tickets, no big crowds, just the kind of easygoing day where you run into neighbors from Apalachicola, Eastpoint, or Port St. Joe and end up staying longer than you planned.
This festival has become a beloved tradition because it’s never tried to be anything flashy. It’s the Chamber’s way of celebrating the working waterfront and the community that calls it home — the same spirit that makes the whole Forgotten Coast special. Plenty of shade along the water, activities for kids and grown-ups alike, and that relaxed pace where you can wander, grab a bite, listen to the music, and just soak it all in.
Perfect timing right after our own Boat & Car Show here in Apalachicola — make a weekend of it and hit both. These are exactly the kinds of low-key, no-pressure events that remind you why we keep coming back to this stretch of coast.
