The Lanark Community Church on Spring Street in Lanark now has a children’s wing where the children have their own space. Last year a special room was built for this purpose. It begins at 11:15 a.m. following announcements and a song from the “King’s Kids” in the main auditorium.

📚 Oystertown Books marks its first year
Apalachicola’s downtown bookstore at 67 Commerce Street celebrated its first year on Sept. 29. The former Downtown Books was purchased in September 2025 by Royce Rolstad and Jeana Crozier and renamed Oystertown Books. Jeana’s “A Blind Date With A Banned Book” packages (gift-wrapped books such as Animal Farm or Fahrenheit 451, plus tea and a pen) have become the store’s most popular item.
