🌴 WHAT’S UP IN APALACHICOLA & THE FORGOTTEN COAST: OCT. 5–11

If you’ve been waiting for October to wake up around here, this is the week. We’ve got science, live music, a St. George Island fundraiser and one seriously busy Saturday with Porch Fest, the farmers market and boats made out of things that probably weren’t intended to become boats.

Here’s what’s happening around Apalachicola and the Forgotten Coast.

🌴 SATURDAY GAME PLAN

Saturday, Oct. 10 is the big one.

Early risers can hit the Apalachicola Farmers Market from 9 a.m.–1 p.m. Then you have a choice: head toward St. Teresa for the wonderfully unpredictable Whatever Floats Your Boat Regatta, or stay downtown as Porch Fest Apalach runs from 11 a.m.–6 p.m.

Still have some gas in the tank? Head to St. George Island for Bo Spring Band at 6 p.m.

Or point the car west: the Forgotten Music Festival is running Saturday and Sunday in Port St. Joe.

That’s not a bad little October weekend. 🎢🌴πŸ¦ͺ

Dates and times may change: verify before heading out.

That's what's up around Apalachicola and the Forgotten Coast this week. Wear some pink, learn about a sawfish, listen to music on somebody's porch or go watch a homemade boat attempt to remain above water. πŸŒŠπŸŽΈπŸ›Ά

Happy exploring!
