🦕 Summer Reading Programs Off to a Great Start The Franklin County Public Libraries Summer Reading Program kickoff parties in Eastpoint and Carrabelle were a big hit, with families turning out to pick up their challenge packets and sign up for this summer’s activities. With new offerings like Sewing 101, Crochet & Craft, Drawing & Sketch Fundamentals, and Animal Tales, there’s something for everyone. It’s wonderful to see so many kids and families excited about reading and learning together this summer.

🐟 Mullet Toss Returns This Weekend One of the most beloved (and hilarious) traditions on St. George Island is back! The annual Mullet Toss takes place this Saturday, June 13, behind The Blue Parrot. Locals and visitors alike look forward to this quirky event that brings the community together for good fun while supporting a great cause.

🌊 Evening at the Edge of the Sea This Saturday evening, the FSU Coastal and Marine Laboratory in St. Teresa is offering a special hands-on program where participants can explore the tidal flats and learn about the incredible marine life right in our own backyard. These kinds of educational experiences help both locals and visitors appreciate and protect our coastal ecosystem.
