The Gibson Inn, always one of my favorites...
The Gibson Inn – Apalachicola Built in 1857, the Gibson Inn is one of those rare places that still feels like true Old Florida.
With its wide front porch lined with rocking chairs, creaky wooden floors, and vintage charm, it sits right in the heart of downtown — just steps from the river and everything Apalachicola has to offer.
We stayed here recently and loved how it makes you feel like you’re actually part of the town instead of just passing through. There’s a quiet, unhurried elegance to it that’s hard to find these days.
If you’re looking for a place that captures the soul of Apalachicola, this is it.
