1. Britton Hill, located in Walton County in the Florida Panhandle, is the highest natural point in the state at just 345 feet above sea level. This makes it the lowest “high point” of any state in the United States. 👉 More info: Visit Florida – Britton Hill
2. Florida has long been known as the Lightning Capital of the United States. 3. Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de León named the land “La Florida” in 1513.
